First we use them to honor a fallen Marine, then let's just slaughter them all.. This makes me so angry. It's all about the money to be made by the foreigners. Not about what's best for the horses. The proslaughter people say there are 100,000 unwanted horses. There were around 140,000 horses salughtered last year in Canada and Mexico. Have we run out of unwanted horses yet????? Guess not, they are still shipping across the borders to the plants. The slaughter of our horses is all about the money to be made. It's not the old, thin, and sick that are sent to slaughter. We all know that. I'm tired of the lies from the AQHA, APHA, the appy association, Cattlemen's association and the Farm Bureau. For God's sake, tell the freaken truth, IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!!!!!! A horse has the mentality of a 4 year old child. Picture a double decker full of 4 year olds heading to a slaughter plant, going without water, food or rest for over 18 hours. How does that picture sit with you? GRRRRRRRRRrrrr

I used to correspond with a man who lived in France. He ate no meat, but told me that the French are told that "American Slaughter Horses" are raised for that very purpose - the European horse meat supply. When I told him the truth, he spread the word and 4 of his friends swore they would never eat horse meat again. Education is key...we can keep fighting the good fight. :)
